Jeremy Garretson is a local artist based out of Southold. Coming from a family of creatives, Jeremy learned the fundamentals when he was young and has improved with every photograph taken since. Living on the East End of Long Island has shaped him as a photographer - he believes in conservation of the North Fork through photography, aiming to make people fall in love with the natural, rural beauty of the area, exactly the way it is. In his own words, “As the years pass, I have come to realize just how important it is to preserve this place. I have photos of beautiful barns sitting in a field of wheat that Have since been torn down and replaced with condos. If my photos can have an impact on the place I call home, then I will have succeeded.”

Jeremy’s love of all things natural has taken him to many other places, including the rugged coast of Maine, the Idyllic countryside of Vermont, the beauty of New England, as well as California and Utah, which Jeremy describes as being surreal and otherworldly. He’s been lucky enough to travel abroad and photograph places like the Faroe Islands, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Saint Lucia. You can see examples of his work from a variety of locations on our site, as we’ve tried to use diverse examples from his collected work.
