BACALHÔA 'CATARINA' VINHO BRANCO, PORTUGAL 2019
Varietals: Fernão Pires, Chardonnay, Arinto
Region: Peninsula de Setubal, Portugal
What's So Special: Catarina Bacalhôa is a white wine produced with white grapes of Fernão Pires, Chardonnay, and Arinto planted in the region of Peninsula de Setubal. The grapes were vinified separately and fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel vats. Chardonnay's must has stayed for 4,5 months in French oak barrels and the other 2 grape varieties were staged in stainless steel tanks prior to being blended and bottled.
Tastes Like: Catarina is a white wine from the Bacalhôa cellars that features an intense open bouquet with pronounced aromas of ripe tropical fruit and citrus nuances over a fresh and balanced minerality and a smooth acidity.
